Duration: 3 Hours (Approx)
One of the top highlights of the West Island excursion is the “Turtle Adventure Tour Grand Cayman.” Spend an unforgettable morning or afternoon visiting the west side of Grand Cayman in the company of your knowledgeable tour guide. Drive past the Governor’s Residence, tour the Seven Mile Beach area, and see the traditional architecture of a Caymanian Cottage and the many native fruit trees in the district of West Bay before visiting the world-famous “Cayman Turtle Centre.” At the Cayman Turtle Centre, you will have a chance to hold and take pictures with some of the smaller turtles and see everything from new turtle hatchlings all the way up to some of the largest turtles weighing up to 600 lbs. Visit Predator Reef, Caribbean Free Flight Aviary, and Cayman Street, where you can view old Cayman architecture. You will also learn about the conservation efforts of the facility at the Education Centre and Hatchery.
After a visit with the Turtles, we visit the rock formations of Hell and finish the day with a stop at the Tortuga Rum Company outlet, where you can sample various rum cakes and rum available for purchase. (Please note that tours that operate on a Sunday will not stop at Tortuga Rum Cake Factory.)
Insider Tip: Looking for more to do at the end of the tour? Ask your driver to drop you at Camana Bay, where you can have lunch and do a little shopping. You can then make your way back to your hotel on own when ready.
